Your ComfortNo holiday is enjoyable if you are not comfortable and the biggest factor in your comfort is likely to be our weather. England has a variety of weather but even poor weather need not spoil your holiday if you go prepared, so when considering clothes bring casual wear for those sunny days but also pack some waterproof over-clothes. A warm jumper or similar for those odd cold days is also a wise inclusion. On your feet you will need a pair of non-slip shoes for around the boat when underway but a pair of waterproof boots will also prove useful if it has rained recently.
At night even though central heating is available the temperature can drop and so if you are someone that feels the cold then why not pack a blanket or two. For those that are taking a pet along don’t forget their comfort. They will appreciate their own basket or rug and after they have managed to find those muddy wet puddles an old towel or two to wipe them down will save hours of cleaning at the end of the holiday. For your evenings it depends what you hope to do. If you intend eating off the boat on occasions there are a wide range of pubs and restaurants and you will need to pack clothes to suit your likely choice of hostelry. |
