Bookings due to start before 31st May 2020 We regret that as a result of UK Governments advice that only essential travel should be undertaken and that everyone should remain in their primary residence we have decided to reschedule all existing bookings made prior to 1st April 2020 and not yet taken that were due to start before 31st May 2020. We will contact all of those clients that have booked prior to this date as soon as possible via email or telephone. Bookings already made for dates after the 31st May 2020 will be subject to ongoing review based on future Government advice / directives.
Future Bookings
We are pleased to confirm that we are continuing to take bookings for hires commencing 1st June 2020 onwards. To protect your booking we have introduced our special Covid-19 (Coronavirus) Rescheduling Protection scheme.
With whole countries closing down and the concerns about the level of Covid-19 overseas, coupled with the risks associated with air travel, this is the year to take a holiday in the UK. And what better way than aboard a Starline Narrowboat where you can also remain isolated from all but your fellow crew members if Government advice / directives require it or if you should you wish to.
Book ahead NOW with confidence
In these uncertain times making a decision to book a holiday may give cause for concern. Here at Starline Narrowboats we realise that you still wish to plan your holiday so we aim to take the uncertainty out of making that decision. Any booking made and paid for now in the normal manner will enjoy complimentary Covid-19 (Coronavirus) rescheduling protection. If your booked holiday cannot go ahead due to Covid-19 (Coronavirus) related Government Directives preventing you being able to take you holiday on the booked date, Starline will allow you to reschedule the holiday at another date later in the year or even into 2021 without any administration costs. Details of the scheme are detailed below.
The Rescheduling Protection Scheme
All bookings made between 1st April 2020 until further notice for hires commencing 1st June 2020 onwards will enjoy our complimentary Covid-19 (Coronavirus) Cancellation Protection scheme. Terms and conditions are as follows:
The offer applies to holidays booked during the period 1st April 2020 until further notice to be taken any time during the period from 1st June 2020 to 17th December 2021. Please confirm when booking that the offer applies to the booking that you are making.
The holiday must be booked and paid for in the normal manner and in the timescales set out in our Terms & Conditions of trading all as if the booked holiday will go ahead.
Once the deposit has been paid (full price where the holiday is within the subsequent 8 weeks) if the holiday cannot be taken as a result of either a Government directive or medically directed isolation of any named member of your party resulting from the Covid-19 virus you will be able to reschedule the holiday at a future date that is based on the same price structure. Alternatively you will be able to book a date that incurs a higher price structure paying only the difference between the originally booked price and the price for subsequent re-booking. All costs being based on prices posted on our website as at the 9th April 2020. There will be no administration charges for rescheduling bookings under this scheme.
The full price must be paid for the originally booked holiday on the due date based on the start date of the originally booked holiday. This will be retained to the time of the revised booking date.
No rescheduling will be permitted of either the originally booked holiday or the rebooked holiday for any reason other than changes resulting directly from Covid-19 related matters. It does not cover rebooking for any other reason, when our normal Terms & Conditions will apply.
Any decision as to the reason for the change in booking being as a result of a Covid-19 related matter shall be entirely at the discretion of Starline Narrowboats acting reasonably.
