Holiday Cancellation Insurance. Unavoidable circumstances may
make it necessary for you to cancel your holiday. You have entered into a
legally binding contract when you booked your holiday and without insurance
cover you may be liable for full payment of the holiday if you have to
cancel.
You are covered at a ratio of every £2.00
paid covering £50.00 of your holiday cost. Insurance premiums are calculated
as follows: cost of your holiday (excluding any security deposits), divided
by 50 and then multiplied by 2 (e.g £695 holiday cost divided by 50 = £13.90
multiplied by 2 = £ 27.80).
Summary of Cover:
By means of this insurance provision can be made for the reimbursement of:
a) The deposits already paid (if not recoverable) and any amounts for which
you are legally responsible if your holiday booking is cancelled or
b) A proportionate amount of your holiday expenses paid or incurred and not
recoverable or useable which are lost through curtailment of the holiday
Due to
(i) the death
(ii) the disablement (by accidental bodily injury or sickness)
(iii) pregnancy, childbirth or compulsory quarantine
(iv) the death of any relative or close business associate
(v) the disablement (by accidental bodily injury or sickness) of any
relative or close business associate
(vi) jury service or witness summons
(vii) redundancy (qualifying for statutory payment)
(viii) hi-jack
Notes:
1. Items (i) to (vii) apply to yourself or any person with whom you intend
to travel or are travelling.
2. Items (i) to (v) must be certified by a qualified registered medical
practitioner.
3. Items (i) to (viii) must occur after acceptance of your premium and
reimbursement will be up to but not exceeding the sum insured. |
Exclusions: These exclusions apply
to all persons including relatives and others mentioned.
(a) Any consequences of war and similar risks.
(b) Any illness, disease, infirmity or disability for which medical
advice or treatment is being received or awaited at the date of taking
the insurance cover.
(c) Wilfully self-inflicted injury
(d) Intoxicating liquor or drugs other than drugs taken in accordance
with treatment prescribed and directed by a qualified registered medical
practitioner but not for the treatment of drug addiction.
(e) Racing by horse, motor or motorcycle, motor rallies and
competitions, mountaineering where ropes/guides are normally used,
pot-holing, aviation (except when travelling solely as a passenger),
winter sports or motorcycling.
(f) The cost of any guide books, maps or videos requested by you and
supplied by Starline Narrowboats. |
