1. To book your
narrowboat holiday (barge hire holiday) select the
boat of your choice from the details shown on the
Our Boats page. 2. Select your preferred departure date from our Prices & Availability Page. 3. Check the availability by telephoning our Booking Office on 01684 592140. 4. A Provisional booking can be made which will be held for 7 days. 5. Print out and complete the Booking Form. Please read our Conditions of Hire. 6. Issue a Deposit Cheque to "Starline Narrowboats" for 1/3 of the holiday cost. If within 6 weeks of commencement the cheque should be for the full amount. 7. Send the Booking Form and Cheque to our Booking Office. 8. Confirmation of your booking will be acknowledged by return. 9. Any outstanding holiday costs will be invoiced 8 weeks prior to your holiday. |

| Calculating the Cost of Your Barge Hire Holiday - Definitions: | |||||||||||||

HIRE CHARGE:
The Hire Charges listed on the Price List are the cost per boat, with
collection of the boat from 3:00pm on the start date and returning /
vacating the boat in good order by 9:00am (Saturdays) or 9:30am (Fridays &
Mondays) on the return date. Weekly Hire is based on a Fri/Sat/Mon pick
up/drop off. Weekend Hire is based on a Fri pick up and a Mon drop off.
Midweek Hire is based on a Mon pick up and a Fri drop off. SECURITY DEPOSITS: The following Security Deposits must be paid in addition to the Hire Charge Fees: £100 per boat, £25 per Canoe and £25 per pet. These will be refunded to you by cheque in the week following your holiday less deductions due to any loss/damage to Boats (or its inventory), loss/damage to Canoes, the late return of boats or excessive cleaning of boats being required. LICENCES: Our boats are licenced for the River Severn and the British Waterways canals. If you cruise the River Avon we ask you to purchase a short period licence from the lock keeper. If you have booked a full weeks hire, or longer, this will be refunded to you upon production of the licence with your security deposit refund in the week following your holiday. VALUE ADDED TAX: Our Prices all include VAT (currently at 17.5%). CANCELLATION INSURANCE: We recommend you take cancellation insurance. If you need to cancel your booking our cancellation insurance entitle you to a full refund less the cost of the premium. Without insurance cover you may be responsible for the full cost of the holiday. Please click here for details of the policy. |
